  1. INTRODUCING THE THERAPIST
    • A short presentation (maximum 45 seconds) about you, your massage, and the techniques used.
    • Bedding selection: originality, cleanliness, and attention to overall visual presentation
    • Workstation: cleanliness, tidiness, and empty space under the massage table
    • Therapist’s appearance: hair tied back, beard trimmed, clean and short nails
    • Personal hygiene of the donor and the recipient
    • Professional attire: no jeans or ripped clothing, no rings or bracelets
    • Punctuality
  2. INNOVATION
    • Combination of different techniques
    • Creating original movements, unique to you, to your style
    • To introduce new techniques or movements that improve the purpose of the massage
  3. TECHNIQUES
    • The techniques are executed accurately and clearly demonstrated visually.
  4. ERGONOMICS / POSTURE
    • Adjusting the height of the massage table
    • The therapist’s posture (being aligned with the movement)
    • Weight transfer through different techniques
    • The position of the receiver: cervical head in good alignment, lumbar support, etc.
  5. MASSAGE FLOW / SEQUENCE
    • Adjusting the rhythms and fluidity of the massage according to the desired goal
    • Ensure easy access to your tools and products so as not to interrupt the session and unnecessarily lose contact with the client.
    • Massage sequence: initial contact, how the therapist proceeds with the massage, and how they conclude it.
    • The transitions between techniques must be fluid and mindful of the recipient’s limitations and the intended benefits of the massage.
  6. DRAPING AND RESPECT FOR PRIVACY
    • The art of draping must be approached with care, out of respect for the privacy of the recipient’s body.
    • The parts of the body being massaged are uncovered, and those not being massaged must be covered.
    • Receivers must keep their lower underwear on at all times
    • The chest of receivers must be covered at all times.
    • The draping criterion is not evaluated in the sports and facial category.
  7. CONTACT WITH THE RECEIVER
    • Kindness, empathy, listening
    • Respect the receiver’s body’s range of motion
    • The intention of your touch
